Mariana Flores and Leonardo García Alarcón’s ensemble, Cappella Mediterranea, present 17th century Venice from two different perspectives. The heroines of Francesco Cavalli’s operas mingle with the works of female composers of the time, including Barbara Strozzi and Antonia Bembo.
