Elle date de l\u2019\u00e9poque o\u00f9 il \u00e9tait Maestro di Capella de la cour de Naples durant les derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es du XVII\u00e8me&nbsp;si\u00e8cle.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La premi\u00e8re Passion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le texte de cette passion ne comprend aucun ajout \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vangile de Jean. Elle appara\u00eet donc comme une \u0153uvre de caract\u00e8re strictement liturgique dans laquelle le principe du r\u00e9citatif domine. Mais en homme de th\u00e9\u00e2tre, Alessandro Scarlatti manie ce langage avec une&nbsp;<em>maestria<\/em>&nbsp;\u00e9tonnante. Le r\u00f4le de l\u2019\u00e9vang\u00e9liste, qui peut avoir des accents particuli\u00e8rement expressifs et \u00e9mouvants, est d\u00e9volu \u00e0 un registre de mezzo-soprano qui \u00e9tait, de toute \u00e9vidence, destin\u00e9 \u00e0 un castrat. Le style du&nbsp;<em>recitativo accompagnato<\/em>&nbsp;qui devient une caract\u00e9ristique de l\u2019op\u00e9ra napolitain de cette \u00e9poque est \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9, d\u2019une part pour certains r\u00e9cits de l\u2019\u00e9vang\u00e9liste (comme l\u2019introduction), mais surtout pour toutes les interventions du Christ (basse) qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient ainsi d\u2019une aura toute particuli\u00e8re. Le r\u00f4le du ch\u0153ur se limite \u00e0 toutes les interventions des \u00ab&nbsp;<em>turbae<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb. Tous les autres r\u00f4les (Pilatus, Ancilla, Petrus\u2026) sont convi\u00e9s \u00e0 des solistes du ch\u0153ur. La Passion se termine par un r\u00e9citatif accompagn\u00e9 confi\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vang\u00e9liste&nbsp;; il s\u2019agit du dernier verset de l\u2019\u00e9vangile. Pour cette r\u00e9alisation, la forme de cette Passion a \u00e9t\u00e9 amplifi\u00e9e par l\u2019ajout de trois R\u00e9pons de la Semaine Sainte du m\u00eame compositeur. Ils apparaissent ici comme des m\u00e9ditations qui servent de conclusion aux trois parties du r\u00e9cit&nbsp;: l\u2019Arrestation, le Jugement chez Pilate et la
