Dans la S\u00e9r\u00e9nissime, il n&#8217;y avait pas de cour princi\u00e8re centralis\u00e9e et donc pas de th\u00e9\u00e2tre de cour contr\u00f4l\u00e9 par un souverain absolutiste ce qui a favoris\u00e9 l&#8217;\u00e9mergence d&#8217;une culture de l&#8217;op\u00e9ra qui ne visait pas \u00e0 plaire \u00e0 une seule personne, mais devait s\u00e9duire un public large. D\u00e8s 1637, le premier op\u00e9ra public au monde a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9 avec le Teatro San Cassiano, o\u00f9 Cavalli y cr\u00e9a \u00e9galement sa premi\u00e8re \u0153uvre <em>Le nozze di Teti e di Peleo<\/em> en 1639. Lorsqu&#8217;il \u00e9crivit sa derni\u00e8re \u0153uvre conserv\u00e9e, <em>Pompeo Magno<\/em> (1666), il avait produit environ trente \u0153uvres pour le th\u00e9\u00e2tre ; dans celles-ci, Cavalli exp\u00e9rimentait avec des possibilit\u00e9s conceptuelles et musicales multiples, rendant la profondeur \u00e9motionnelle de ses personnages une exp\u00e9rience cr\u00e9dible et empreinte d&#8217;empathie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce programme met en lumi\u00e8re la diversit\u00e9 et l\u2019intensit\u00e9 \u00e9motionnelle du g\u00e9nie cr\u00e9atif de Cavalli, dont l\u2019influence musicale et
