Leonardo Garc\u00eda Alarc\u00f3n returns to the Concertgebouw Orchestra conducting Handel\u2019s festive Music for the Royal Fireworks<\/em> and masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Concertgebouw Orchestra takes flight in Baroque music when Leonardo Garc\u00eda Alarc\u00f3n is conducting. After his impressive first appearance in 2022, the charismatic Argentine conductor returns, weaving works by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel\u2019s Music for the Royal Fireworks<\/em> into a festive whole, just as Bach himself would do on Friday evenings at Leipzig\u2019s Caf\u00e9 Zimmermann. Andreas Wolf\u2019s rich, round bass is heard in a number of phenomenal arias from the secular cantatas (chamber operas) which Bach wrote in the same period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
